GROW GROUP QUESTIONS – SEPTEMBER 10, 2023
Announcement: Take time to look at the Grow Group Covenant in the next few weeks with your group. Also, take some time to discuss ways to be more intentional with your group.
Icebreaker:
- What are your favorite reasons to Praise God?
Sermon Discussion – Read Ephesians 1:1-14
Open your Bible for this first questions
- Look through the verses: Share all that is revealed about what God has accomplished
- Which one of these accomplishments stand out to you the most and why?
- How do these verses speak to how God sees us?
- What does it mean to see that this was done for God’s praise and glory, instead of being done just for us to be blessed? (look at verses 6, 12, and 14)
Going Deeper – Ephesians 1:4
- Pastor Steve challenged us to live our lives in response to all that God has done for us.
- Describe some of the attributes that mark a life like that.
- How does a life ‘not walked in holiness’ affect glory being given to God?
- How does a life’ not walked in holiness’ reveal one’s appreciation and value for what God did for us?
- How does understanding and embracing all God has done help us to live lives that are holy and blameless?
- What can you change in your lifestyle to live for the praise of God’s glory this week?
Prayer
- Take time to praise God for what he has done as a part of your closing prayer time (A time of worship together like at the all church worship night)
- Consider praying for those who revealed in discussion time they are struggling to live holy and blameless lives and for those struggling to see how loved they are in Christ.
