Icebreaker:

  • How is Biblical Fellowship (koinonia) different from friendship or any other kind of relationship?

Sermon & Scripture Discussion – Please Read Acts 2:42-47

  • Steve said that Biblical fellowship, while something God desires for us, is rare.
    • Why do you think that is?
    • What do you think keeps most people from pursuing fellowship in favor of merely acquaintance or friendship?
  • Steve defined Christian Fellowship as a relationship with others that originates from their relationship with God and is marked by: Regular togetherness, Radical authenticity, Unconditional love, Holy transformation, Kingdom engagement.
    • Rate our group on each of these marks. Where do we need improvement? Where are we doing well? How do we commit to improving?

Going Deeper  Read Hebrews 10:24-25.

  • Pastor Steve challenges us to think of “we” instead of “Me” to know Biblical fellowship.
    • What, if any, areas of your life are you living and thinking like an “Me” instead of like a “we” in how we gather and build fellowship?
  • In the podcast, Pastor David mentioned that it’s a gift to have people in your life that are willing to challenge you and point out where you have sinned or need to grow. Do you have someone like that in your life?
    • Do you feel willing to receive that kind of correction? How have you reacted in the past, either good or bad?
    • Are you willing to do that for others in your life? What keeps you from doing that?

Prayer Time: (Focused Prayer time as a group!)

How can we pray to experience True Biblical Fellowship over secular friendships?
