Grow Group Covenant (Week 1 Priority): Group leaders, please take time in your meeting to go over our Grow Group Covenant and discuss any desires and plans for how you will do some elements of gender-based transformation groups.
Icebreaker:
Knowing it would be the last words or challenge they would hear from you, what would you tell your best friend, spouse, or children?
Sermon & Scripture Discussion – 2 Timothy 1:1-7
Read 2 Timothy 1:1-7 (Check out other translations of this section, especially verses 6 and 7)
- What stands out to you most about this week’s message? Is there anything you especially liked or struggled with?
- (Verse 5) Coming out of our “Faith of the Flawed” series, what do you think the “sincere faith” of Timothy looked like?
- Think about the legacy of faith that was passed on from Timothy’s grandmother and mother. You are also leaving a Spiritual Legacy to friends or family:
- What about your legacy do you feel positive about?
- What about your legacy do you wish was different? And how could you change that?
Going Deeper
- What robs you of having a consistent Spiritual fire in your life, and how might God be calling you to “rekindle” that spiritual fire?
- Pastor David challenged us that fear is often manifested in compromise. Where might you be compromising?
- “You have been given a spirit of power, love, and a sound judgment” How does that affect how to live for the Lord and obey His voice?
Prayer Time:
- Hopefully, people shared some things they are battling with or feel God might want them to change. Come back to those and focus prayer time on praying for each other around these areas.
