Weddings

We desire that every couple experience a memorable and sacred wedding service. Marriage is a covenant through which a man and a woman offer vows before the Lord to live out together in their journey towards Him.

Pre-Marriage Process

Bethany Church believes that a marriage that understands God’s original purpose and design will succeed. We believe sexual abstinence before marriage is God's design for each couple. We also believe living separately from each other until the wedding day is important in creating space for you to maintain the boundaries needed to do your pre-marriage process well.

Each engaged couple is required to complete a PREPARE/ENRICH marriage assessment. Using a personalized assessment at the beginning of the premarital journey will provide you with a clear view of your relationship. This tailored approach will allow your pre-marriage counselor to get to know you on a deeper level and will make counseling feel easy. Following the assessment, you will then be required to meet with a mentor couple for pre-marriage counseling, ideally beginning approximately six months prior to your wedding date, to discuss a variety of aspects of married life.

Use of Facility

Since our purpose is to establish Christian marriages in the context of a loving community, weddings are reserved only for individuals who are committed followers of Christ and who have been regularly attending Bethany for at least six months prior to their application to be married.

Plan Early

Due to staff and facility commitments, weddings may not be possible on or around certain holidays. Requests for your wedding ceremony to be held in our Worship Center must be made no less than one year prior to your wedding date. Requests for the Chapel can be made no less than six months prior to your wedding date.

Once we receive your request, we will check the calendar to make sure the Worship Center or Chapel is available. If your date is available, we will send the official reservation form.
